GCV Global Industry Councils were established to provide a platform for CVCs to connect and explore innovation and investment opportunities within a specific sector.
By bringing together leaders in a sector, each Council provides a unique opportunity for CVCs to benefit from the following:
- Exclusive social gatherings with sector peers
- Introductions to other CVCs investing in a specific sector
- Access to sector-specific thought leadership materials
- Co-investment deal opportunities
- Insights into sector market trends
- Thematic presentations and discussions to overcome sector challenges
GCV Global Councils regularly convene around the world at GCV conferences and forums, as well as online via webinars and digital events. They provide opportunities to connect and collaborate with fellow CVC and sector peers as each Council provides a platform to discuss the most important issues and opportunities in their respective sector. The current GCV Councils in operation include:
- Mobility Council
- Consumer Council
- Energy Council
- AI & Deep Tech Council
- Finance Council
- Defence Council
- Industry Sustainability Council
- Agri-Food Tech Council

Advisory Boards
Each sector council requires an Advisory Board – comprised of industry experts – that is willing to take responsibility for leading, and developing, their respective sector.
Advisory Board members support GCV as members of the Leadership Society. They meet once every quarter and set the direction of focus, content, projects and overall objectives for the Council. Looked to by their peers for guidance, thought leadership, strategic goals, and relevant content, they play a key role in the development of the sector.
How to apply
If you wish to apply for an Advisory Board seat, please complete the online application from the list below for the relevant sector council, or contact us to discuss participation. Advisory Board seats run for a 2-year term and members are required to meet each quarter during their term.
If the council you wish to apply for has now closed, new opportunities for board seats may become open during the two-year term, and you can complete an application to be considered when a seat opens.
If you would like more information about this, please contact Amber Knapp, the GCV Global Council liaison, at aknapp@globalventuring.com.
