Cédric Van Nevel has departed Bekaert to become an investment manager at Qbic, a venture fund manager focused on spinouts of Ghent, Brussels and Antwerp universities and of Vito.
Cédric Van Nevel (pictured) has joined Belgium-based inter-university venture firm Qbic as an investment manager after standing down from the same role at steel wire products and coatings supplier Bekaert.
Qbic’s second seed-stage fund was established in June 2017 with $45m of capital to back spinouts of research organisation Vito as well as from Ghent, Brussels and Antwerp universities.
