MTI invested from its UMIP Premier Fund (UPF) alongside investment from the University of Oxford and a number of private investors.
Venture capital firm MTI Partners has invested £2m ($3.1m) in Oxford Photovoltaics, a UK-based solar cell maker spun out of Oxford University and with exclusively license to the intellectual property developed by Dr. Henry Snaith and his academic team of 15 scientists.

In July 2011, MTI Partners, Parkwalk Advisors and the World Gold Council and angels invested £650,000 in Oxford Photovoltaics
