BSkyB teams up with internet television company Zeebox, co-founded by the man who developed the BBC's iPlayer, in a wide-ranging strategic partnership.

UK-listed media company British Sky Broadcasting Group (BSkyB) has taken a 10% stake in internet television company Zeebox as part of a "multi-million pound" strategic partnership. 

Sky, BSkyB’s satellite service, will be the only TV platform in the UK to use its technology in its applications, the company said yesterday.

Zeebox is led by Anthony Rose, who developed UK television company BBC’s iPlayer, a streaming product, and Ernesto Schmitt, a former EMI board director.
