3P Learning held a 40% stake in Learnosity after having most recently invested $13.9m in 2016, but has now sold it to Battery Ventures.

Media company 3P Learning has sold its 40% stake in Learnosity, an Ireland-based education technology (edtech) provider, to venture capital firm Battery Ventures for A$25m ($19.1m).

3P Learning valued its shareholding at A$46.6m. The corporate most recently acquired an additional 16.93% in Learnosity for $13.9m in early 2016 to take its stake in the company to 40%.

Founded in 2007, Learnosity helps incorporate assessment capabilities into digital products, including education providers Big Ideas Learning, CenterPoint Learning, HMH, Mathletics and Pearson.
