Graduating from Bombay University, Mehta has been in the UK since 1987 and trained as an accountant. He is also an associate member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers and the Institute of Bankers in Scotland.
Prior to joining the Tata Group, he worked for a number of years in the City of London as a banker with Royal Bank of Scotland and latterly with National Australia Group, where his focus has been on servicing the funding and risk management needs of UK and multinational corporations.
