The workplace search startup had raised about $3m from investors including Slack before being acquired by Box.
Communications software provider Slack has exited Butter.ai, a US-based enterprise search app developer, in an acquisition of undisclosed size by cloud storage software producer Box.
Butter has created a mobile platform that links various enterprise apps so they are searchable by all employees. The startup introduced integration with Box in October 2017, a month after launching the app.
