The accelerator will support remote working to broaden its geographical capacity for emerging food products and manufacturing techniques.

Italy-based packaged food producer Barilla has leveraged its Blu1877 corporate venturing arm to launch a sustainable food-oriented accelerator in partnership with incubator KitchenTown, according to The Spoon.

The eight-week program, dubbed Good Food Makers, will connect startups to Barilla’s team to identify new food products and improved production techniques in areas of need.

No equity investment is available, with startups instead receiving mentoring, collaboration opportunities and access to industry contacts.
