University of California Riverside (UCR) called on experienced venture capitalist David Schwab to run its $10m Highlander Venture Fund when it was launched in June 2017.
Schwab’s Vertical Venture Partners – the Silicon Valley firm he founded at the start of 2014 – is a partner in Highlander, which received a $2m initial contribution from UCR Foundation, the university’s endowment.
