Both the NVCA and the BVCA have appointed venture executives of corporates to their boards in wins for the industry.
US trade body the National Venture Capital Association has appointed US-based computer company IBM’s Claudia Fan Munce as its first ever corporate venturing board member, while Fidelity Ventures’s Simon Clark has become vice chairman of the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association.
Fan Munce is a managing director of IBM’s Venture Capital Group, while Clark is a Fidelity Ventures managing partner.
The BVCA also appointed Robert Easton, co-head of Carlyle Europe Technology Partners, as chairman.
