Seesmic gains $4m from Saleforce.com and Softbank Group.
Software company Saleforce.com and Japan-based internet company Softbank Group have invested $4m in Seesmic, a US-based provider of applications to monitor social networks across mobile devices.
Seesmic and Salesforce.com have worked for more than six months to integrate Seesmic Desktop and Salesforce Chatter, while Softbank invested as Seesmic has about 10% of its one million registered users in Japan.
Venture capital firms Atomico, Wellington Partners and Omidyar Network had previously invested $12m in Seesmic.
