Novasentis, developer of technology to create flexible, sensory phones and other devices, raises $8m led by Samsung Ventures.
Novasentis, a US-based technology company formerly known as Strategic Polymer Sciences, which develops Electro Mechanical Polymer Actuators for use in flexible, sensory touch-screens, has raised $8m funding led by Samsung Ventures, the venture capital division of South Korean conglomerate Samsung, and China-based venture capital investor Chengwei Capital.
Novasentis, founded in 2006, has now raised a total of $11m.
The company has changed its name to reflect a “neo-sensory age in which previously lifeless devices come alive.”
