The Takkt-backed operations management platform developer is eyeing international expansion following a series C round led by Insight Partners.

ParcelLab, a US-based shipping management software provider that counts office equipment provider Takkt as an investor, collected $112m in series C funding yesterday.

Venture capital and private equity firm Insight Partners led the round, which also featured Endeit Capital, Capnamic Ventures and Coparion.

Founded in 2015, ParcelLab provides software that retail businesses use to manage branded communication with customers during the product shipping process.

The platform can also integrate with logistics companies and freight forwarders to supply customers with product delivery information. ParcelLab will use the funding to support its global expansion as well as product development activities.

Tobias Buxhoidt, ParcelLab’s founder and chief executive, said: “As e-commerce becomes increasingly competitive, providing unique and branded experiences will drive growth. Identifying opportunities to further connect with people and build a better, stronger relationship is a key differentiator.”

The company raised a multi-million-euro amount of series B funding (€1m = $1.1m) from Coparion, Capnamic and undisclosed existing investors in October 2019. Takkt had made an investment of undisclosed size in ParcelLab two years earlier.
