KaiOS Technologies, the developer of a low-memory mobile operating system, has received $22m from new strategic partner Google.
Internet technology provider Google has provided $22m of series A funding for KaiOS Technologies, the US-based developer of a mobile operating system, as part of a collaboration agreement.
KaiOS is working on a web-based operating system designed for use on smartphones and internet-of-things devices that utilise less memory than conventional mobile devices, meaning consumers can access more affordable options.
