Jessica Verrilli, who was instrumental in Twitter's acquisitions of Vine and Periscope among others, is set to join Google Ventures as a partner.

Jessica Verrilli is leaving microblogging platform Twitter for Google Ventures where she will take up a partner position, Fortune reported on Friday.

Verrilli has served as director of corporate development and strategy for Twitter since July 2014, focusing on the company’s acquisition strategy, deal execution and mergers and acquisitions integration.

She has worked on more than 20 deals during her time at Twitter, including its acquisitions of online video platform Vine and video streaming app Periscope.

Verrilli joined Twitter in 2009 from venture capital firm Venrock, where she worked as a venture capital associate. She served in various corporate and business development roles at Twitter prior to her current position.
