Peter Read has left corporate venturing unit Google Ventures a year after helping to launch its $100m European investment arm.

Peter Read has left his position as general partner at internet company Google’s $100m European corporate venturing fund, TechCrunch reported on Friday.

Read was one of the four general partners revealed when Google formed the London-based fund, an offshoot of its Google Ventures unit, in July 2014.

The other three founding partners, Eze Vidra, Tom Hulme and Avid Larizadeh, will remain in their posts and it is currently unclear whether a replacement for Read will be sought. A reason…
