Google, Cisco and VMWare all invested in a round that lifted the IT automation software developer's overall funding to $86m.

Cisco and Google Ventures have led a $40m follow-up series E round of funding in US-based IT automation software developer Puppet Labs that will enable the company to expand globally.

Cloud software company VMWare, Kleiner Perkins, Caufield & Byers, Triangle Peak Partners and True Ventures also participated, taking the company’s total investment to $86m.
