AOL-backed event-based data company Metamarkets has received $15m in a round led by venture capital fund Data Collective, bringing its total funding to almost $44m.

Metamarkets, a US-based marketing analytics provider backed by internet company AOL, secured $15m yesterday in a series C round led by venture capital fund Data Collective.

Financial services provider City National Bank also participated in the round alongside venture capital firms Khosla Ventures, IA Ventures, True Ventures and Village Ventures.
