Nicholas Brumleve is an investment principal at Chevron Technology Ventures (CTV), US-based oil, gas and fuel provider Chevron’s corporate venturing unit. He joined Chevron Technology Ventures at the onset of the Future Energy Fund, which was a $100m fund launched in 2018.
Since joining, Brumleve has been developing and executing the investment thesis for the fund, including leading origination, diligence, negotiations and executing investments. Since joining CTV almost three years ago, he led engagements in multiple key verticals for the fund, including transport and mobility, where he is the board observer for autonomous vehicle developer Voyage.
Brumleve possesses the combination of strategic view, domain knowledge and deep commercial experience which makes him a particularly effective venture professional.
Prior to his venture capital role, Brumleve worked as a strategic adviser in the areas of alternative energy, CCUS (carbon capture, utilisation and storage) and future mobility. Before CTV, he held a number of business development, planning and commercial adviser roles within the Chevron Natural Gas and Crude Supply and Trading groups, and Mid-Continent business unit.
Nicholas has an MBA and master of environmental management degree from Duke University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in finance from Boston College.
