Dan Cherian became general manager and lead for strategic partnerships at shoe and clothing company Nike in late 2010. Cherian worked as general manager for sustainable business and innovation at Nike, which he joined in 2008. He previously worked in strategic planning at pharmaceutical company Pfizer and at consultancy firm Boston Consulting Group. He was a graduate in city planning from US-based university Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Cherian told Ernst & Young in a recent interview that Nike was happy to partner without any commercial relationship with entrepreneurs.
