The crop protection technology developer has added series B funding from backers including Syngenta and Alexandria Real Estate Equities to the $10m it raised in 2014.

US-based crop protection product developer AgriMetis has closed a $23.5m series B round that included agribusiness Syngenta and life sciences real estate developer Alexandria Real Estate Equities.

The corporates, which participated through their Syngenta Ventures and Alexandria Venture Investments units, were joined by Anterra Capital, which led the oversubscribed round, biotech innovation company Acidophil and RA Capital Management.
