Sioux Technologies co-led SamanTree’s series A round, which will support marketing of the EPFL spinout’s subcellular resolution microscopy scanner for surgical cancer interventions.

SamanTree Medical, a Switzerland-based cancer tissue mapping technology spinout from École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), closed a Sfr9.5m ($9.3m) series A round on Monday co-led by venture capital firm Panakès Partners.
Sioux Tech Fund, an investment vehicle of technology development services provider Sioux Technologies, co-led the round, which also included Bom Brabant Ventures, the VC arm of Dutch state-owned regional development agency Brabantse Ontwikkelings Maatschappij, as well as Btov Partners and a range of unnamed, existing investors.
