Quentin Compton-Bishop has resigned as CEO of Warwick Ventures, but said he would continue to be involved in university venturing.
Quentin Compton-Bishop (pictured) has stood down as chief executive of Warwick Ventures, the commercialisation arm of University of Warwick.
Compton-Bishop’s exit closes out an eight-year journey with Warwick Ventures that coincided with its restructuring as an internal professional services department within the university rather than a wholly-owned subsidiary.
His LinkedIn profile states he has been appointed director of an entity called Euphrasia Services and Compton-Bishop told Global University Venturing he would continue to be involved in some form with university venturing.
Compton-Bishop helped spawn 37 spinouts and attract a total of £89m ($110m) in funding for Warwick Ventures portfolio companies.
He also served as University of Warwick’s interim director of corporate relations from 2012 until 2013, presiding over corporate partnerships and business development as well as the introduction of an online portal connecting clients to Warwick’s scientific expertise.
Before joining University of Warwick, Compton-Bishop directed business consultancy Greenstreak between 2008 and 2011, after a two-year spell as managing director for on-site renewable installation service provider 3rd Rock Energy from 2006 until 2008.
