Brainbox deduces $23m series A

The Virginia Tech-allied brain injury diagnosis software company attracted Virginia Tech Carilion Innovation Fund in what appears to be its first round of funding.

US-based brain injury diagnosis software provider Brainbox Solutions achieved a first close of a $23m series A round thanks to investors including Virginia Tech Carilion Innovation Fund, the venture partnership of Virginia Tech and healthcare provider Carilion Clinic.
The tranche was led by BioVentures Investors with additional support from Tauber Foundation, Genoa VC, Pharmakon Holdings, Astia Angels, angel investor Kevin Love and undisclosed participants.
