Xerox’s newly formed augmented reality software business has been valued at $700m through an investment by ServiceNow.

Printing technology producer Xerox has formed CareAR, a US-based augmented reality (AR) technology developer, with a $10m investment from enterprise software company ServiceNow.

The business combines AR technology producer CareAR with content management system DocuShare and multi-channel marketing software provider XMPie.

Xerox agreed to acquire the original CareAR business for an undisclosed sum in January 2021. The startup had already secured a strategic partnership with ServiceNow in June 2020.
