NBC, Sky, Tegna and the Tengelmann-owned Emil Capital have provided $20m, bringing the online sport media company's total funding near to $60m.
US-based, sport-focused digital media company Whistle Sports has closed a series C round backed by several media companies that was sized at $20m, according to Variety.
The capital was provided by NBC Sports Ventures, a corporate venturing subsidiary of broadcaster NBC; Tegna, the media group formerly known as Gannett; UK-based broadcaster Sky and Emil Capital, a US-based subsidiary of Germany-headquartered retailer Tengelmann.
