Electronics and appliances conglomerate Siemens acquired energy information management company eMeter in January and sources put the price at between $180m and $220m, according to news provider Greentech Media.

Prior to its acquisition, eMeter had raised about $72m from investors including Siemens, investment firms Northgate Capital and Foundation Capital, venture capital firms Sequoia Capital and DBL Investors, Banner Partners and Vetter Investments.
