Kevin Rose, formerly a managing partner at Google Ventures, has left the unit to focus on his startup, North Technologies, which has just raised $5m.

Kevin Rose has left his general partner position at Google Ventures, internet company Google’s corporate venturing unit, in order to focus on a new startup, North Technologies, Fortune reported on Wednesday.

Rose co-founded web recommendation site Digg in 2004 and mobile app developer Milk in 2011, subsequently joining Google when it bought Milk the following year. Rose moved to Google Ventures soon afterwards.
