Repsol, a Spain-based oil company, has chosen eight energy efficiency projects which will be supported by the second round of disbursals from Repsol Foundation’s Entrepreneurs’ Fund.  The Repsol Foundation is the corporate social responsibility unit of Repsol, whose remit includes pursuing social, environmental, scientific, educational interests.

The eight chosen projects, selected out of 470 submissions, almost all from Spain, will receive 6,000 to 12,000 euros per month for up to 24 months.  The projects will also be able to make use of the Repsol Technology Centre.

The eight chosen projects are:

  • Dobgir. Vertical axis wind power generator which can be added to existing structures. Entrepreneur: Dobgir
  • Ecomess. Second generation hybrid solar panels. Entrepreneur: Endef Engineering
  • GeoYmaging. Technology for rapid interpretation of seismic imaging. Entrepreneur: Expert Ymaging
  • Microturbina Hidráulica. Microturbines for generating electricity in water conduits. Entrepreneur: Abitur
  • Oktapous. Robot for inspecting and repairing underwater pipelines.…
