GCV Rising Star Blair Tritt was appointed VP of CVC and partnerships at the milk-based food producer’s investment arm.
US dairy food manufacturer Schreiber Foods has promoted Blair Tritt to vice president of corporate ventures and partnerships for its investment arm, Schreiber Ventures.
Tritt joined Schreiber Foods in 2006 and held various roles at the firm including purchasing, account management and sales. He began managing strategic investments when he took up the position of director of new ventures and innovation in 2021.
In October 2022, Tritt was named director of corporate ventures and partnerships, where he helped the firm found the Schreiber Ventures unit. Global Corporate Venturing included him on the Rising Stars roster earlier this year.
Formally launched in 2023, Schreiber Ventures focuses on seed and series A-stage startups that have the potential to forge partnerships with its parent firm. Food supply chain and sustainability technologies are its main targets and are not confined to dairy companies.
Tritt is involved in the food CVC community through GCV’s Global Agri-Food Council, where he has been an advisory board member since June 2023.
While the CVC unit has yet to disclose any portfolio companies, Schreiber Foods previously participated in a $4m pre-series A round for Indian milk supply chain provider Milklane in 2017.
