After serving a year as the head of corporate venture capital at Thai energy company Banpu, Smittipon Srethapramote has started a new position as CEO of Banpu's subsidiary, Banpu Next.
Smittipon Srethapramote has announced his departure from corporate venture capital after serving a year as the head of CVC at Banpu, a Thailand-based energy company.
Srethapramote will move to Banpu’s daughter company Banpu Next, a smart energy solutions provider where he will be the chief executive.
Before joining Banpu, Srethapramote was an investment analyst at Brookfield Asset Management for a year, and was an equity research analyst for six years at Morgan Stanley.
Founded in 1983, Banpu has invested in close to 20 companies including Aircarbon, EDP Renewables and NG Services.
