Quinn Li is a 10 year veteran of Qualcomm Ventures, and for the last seven years has served in a managing director role, leading the group's US operations.
Quinn Li has taken over as the global head of Qualcomm Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of the US-based microprocessor company. Long-time head Nagraj Kashyap has left in “an amicable departure” which has “left the rest of the Qualcomm Ventures organisation intact,” Qualcomm Ventures said.
Qualcomm Ventures said in a statement: “We wanted to let all of our friends and business partners know that Nagraj Kashyap will be leaving Qualcomm to pursue other interests and that Quinn Li will be taking over as the global head of Qualcomm Ventures. Nagraj has been instrumental in growing the team into the widely respected group it is today and we wish him all the best in his next opportunity. We want to stress that this is an amicable departure and that the rest of the Qualcomm Ventures organisation is intact and plans to remain steadfast in its goals of funding innovative tech-entrepreneurs and start-ups that have the potential to transform the wireless world.
Qualcomm Ventures added: “Quinn joined Qualcomm Ventures in 2005 and has led the group’s US operations as its Managing Director for the past seven years. We look forward to continuing our work under his experienced leadership and future collaboration with all of our Qualcomm Ventures friends and associates.”
Li is a 10 year veteran of Qualcomm Ventures, and currently serves in a managing director role. Kashyap has led the group for 12 years, and is the co-chair of our Global Corporate Venturing & Innovation Summit in Sonoma County next week. Both Kashyap and LI will be speaking at the Sonoma event.
Li is recognised in our Rising Stars supplement, also out next week, as one of the key players tipped to scale the highest ranks in the corporate venturing world.
