Intel Capital has invested in big data technology developer GigaSpaces for a third time, and the funding will go to innovation, sales and marketing.

US-based cloud orchestration and data scalability company GigaSpaces Technologies has secured $20m in a series D round backed by semiconductor producer Intel’s corporate venturing unit, Intel Capital.

The round was led by Claridge Israel, a partnership formed by Claridge, which acts as the investment vehicle for Stephen R. Bronfman, and Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, and included venture capital fund BRM Capital and growth equity firm FTV Capital.
