Sophia Nadur is a manging partner and David Clouse is a principal at BP Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of UK-headquartered oil and gas supplier BP.
Nadur is based in the UK capital of London, and leads the sourcing of venturing deals in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East markets. She explores new opportunities that support BP’s scaling of advanced mobility, clean energy and other tech-led business models that accelerate the transition to net zero.
She is a board member of BluSmart, a ride hailing and electric vehicle charging service, and PowerShare, a software platform for electric vehicle charging stations.
Nadur joined BP Ventures from BP’s advanced mobility team, having designed and delivered the company’s e-mobility strategy to help the business become a provider of integrated mobility solutions.
Prior to joining BP, she worked as an innovator and business builder in the global consumer goods and services industry, ran her own business and qualified as a lawyer.
Clouse, on the other hand, is based in Houston in the US state of Texas, and focuses on assessing risk and returns on investments and strategic value potential of deploying new technology into BP’s asset base.
Clouse had joined BP as an investment manager in 2006, before joining the unit in his current capacity. He has 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a background in biofuels and renewable energy. He serves as a board member of carbon capture provider Carbonfree Chemicals and connected car software developer Zubie.
