Deal Roundup: Clever Care clears $41m series C round

Edianyun, a China-based enterprise office equipment leasing and IT services provider backed by conglomerate Legend Holdings and payment services provider Lakala, filed for an initial public offering in Hong Kong for a third time. The company had previously applied for a listing in February 2022 before retrying in seven months later.

M&A

Long-distance carpooling app BlaBlaCar said yesterday it plans to acquire Klaxit, a France-based, work commute-focused ride sharing platform backed by insurance firm MAIF, vehicle maintenance service Mobivia, public transport operator RATP Group and catering services provider Sodexo, for an undisclosed amount.

Operational data monitoring software provider Grafana Labs has purchased Pyroscope, the US-based operator of an open-source troubleshooting platform, for an undisclosed sum, enabling internet and telecommunications group SoftBank to exit. The corporate invested in Pyroscope at seed stage along with General Catalyst, Harvard University, SV Angel and IU Angel Network.

Funding

Internet and technology group Alphabet’s GV unit led a $41m series C round for Clever Care Health Plan, a US-based healthcare provider that combines eastern and western medical and wellness practices. Care provider Point32Health and insurance firms Prudential Financial and Allianz also took part – the last two through their Prudential Ventures and AV8 Ventures subsidiaries respectively – as did Norwest Venture Partners, Health Velocity Capital, Brighton Health Partners, Windham Venture Partners and Figure 8 Investments.
