Y Combinator, an incubator which has won corporate backing regularly for its portfolio from companies including Tencent and Salesforce, revealed this week its portfolio has raised more than $1bn.

Y Combinator founder Paul Graham said in a tweet on Wednesday: “The total amount of funding raised by the 380 companies prior to the current YC batch is $1,048,274,000.” Y Combinator started in 2005.
