Wells Fargo Innovation Incubator's first agriculture technology-themed batch includes startups focused on crop protection, cultured plant cells and automated crop breeding.

Six agriculture technology startups joined the seventh batch of Wells Fargo Innovation Incubator (IN2), the cleantech-focused accelerator sponsored by financial services firm Wells Fargo, yesterday.

Wells Fargo founded IN2 in 2014 in partnership with the US Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Agtech was added to its remit in 2018 to reflect farming’s carbon footprint.
