Sovereign wealth fund Oman Investment Fund is reportedly to buy about 5% in Universal Commodity Exchange (UCX), an India-based multi-commodity exchange.

News provider Economic Times said in December Indian Farmers Fertiliser (Iffco) acquired an equity stake in UCX with Netherland-based agricultural bank Rabobank also buying 5% in September.

UCX is jointly promoted by IT People India, parent of Iffco, IFCI Venture Capital Funds, Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers, Haryana State Cooperative Supply Marketing Federation and Bombay Bullion Association.
