Tengelmann unit Emil Capital led the female-focused digital media company's latest round, which also included strategic partners Corus, Allure and Tegna.

Kin Community, the US-based operator of a female-focused digital media platform and community, has received $13.5m in a series D round led by Emil Capital Partners, a subsidiary of retail group Tengelmann.

Media companies Corus Entertainment, Allure Media and Tegna Media also took part in the round, as strategic investors.
