Germany-based media group Hubert Burda Media's corporate venturing unit has acquired the shares of local online video platform Sevenload from phone operator Deutsche Telekom's equivalent investment group.
DLD Ventures, formerly known as Sixth Floor Productions, bought the shares in Sevenload from T-Online Venture Fund for an undisclosed sum to take a majority stake.
DLD invests for Burda after the separation of Burda Digital Ventures to form independent venture capital firm Acton Capital Partners (which still looks after some Burda portfolio companies and retains the German publisher as a limited partner in its funds).
