Top 50 Rising Stars 2022 (in alphabetical order by CVC unit): Kendra Rauschenberger, vice-president, Siemens Energy Ventures
Kendra Rauschenberger is vice-president at Siemens Energy Ventures, which was founded in April 2020 as the corporate venturing unit of Siemens Energy – a leading integrated energy technology company with strong focus on environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG).
Siemens Energy Ventures focuses on investing, building and piloting ventures that have the potential to make a significant contribution to the energy transition and the decarbonisation of the energy systems. In line with the strategy of its parent company, the primary interests are technologies and business models that can accelerate low or zero-emission power generation, transport and storage of electricity and the reduction of carbon dioxide footprint and energy consumption in industrial processes.
Alongside strategic investments and internal building programmes, Siemens Energy Ventures may also become an early customer for startups and its portfolio companies and help them scale by giving access to company resources and networks and providing pathways to market.
Prior to this role, Rauschenberger had been working under Siemens’ umbrella for two decades, with a long history of commercialising innovations with customers and partners including in Wind Power Services and Additive Manufacturing for Siemens Energy.
