Xerox Ventures invests in early and growth-stage companies in the advanced manufacturing, the internet of things, financial services, IT, cleantech and software sectors.

Chiang had spent three years as CVC manager at GC Ventures, a corporate venturing arm of Thailand-based chemical group PTT Global Chemical, prior to which he had a year-long stint as associate intern at conglomerate General Electric’s CVC GE Ventures between 2017 and 2018.

Chiang said: “While pursuing a master’s degree at MIT, I ended up landing an internship at GE Ventures which was my first exposure to CVC. That summer was a massive aha moment for me and my career trajectory.

“I saw opportunities for corporates to be uniquely positioned in the innovation ecosystem to bring outsized value to startups working to solve some of the world’s most pressing challenges…and did my master’s thesis work around to topic. I have been a student and practitioner of CVC ever since.”
