On April 7 the GCV Institute delivered an online ‘Meet the Experts’ webinar and networking event, spotlighting Bill McNulty, Operating Partner at Capital One Ventures and featured Global Corporate Venturing Institute CVBD (Portfolio Development) expert.
In this first session, Bill discussed the evolution of Capital One Ventures’ highly successful approach to maximizing the impact of Line of Business/LOB (BU) and CVC portfolio company engagement and adoption.
Bill also spoke about key success factors (and challenges) that CVC teams face in supporting parent business/startup collaboration, with real-world examples from Capital One Ventures’ portfolio. These collaborations have been transformational for Capital One and also contributed to numerous portfolio company exits including recent unicorn IPO Snowflake.
