Eli Lilly and Illumina took part in liquid biopsy developer Delfi Diagnostics' $225m series B round while Sompo, Yamaha Motor and Bridgestone invested $87.8m in driverless vehicle software provider Tier IV.

Japan-based pharmaceutical firm Ono Pharmaceutical announced today that it has formed a corporate venture capital fund of undisclosed size called Ono Digital Health Investment to invest in developers of healthcare and pharmaceutical technologies. The company already has a CVC scheme in place dubbed Ono Venture Investment, which was launched in the United States in mid-2020.
Financial services firm Bank of Ayudhya’s corporate venturing arm, Krungsri Finnovate, has set aside THB1bn ($27.3m) to invest in digital technology developers, Bangkok Post has reported. The deals will be conducted through a specialised fund dubbed Finnoverse which was formed last month and which will operate until 2024, according to KFIN managing director Sam Tanskul.
