TaoTaoSou, a Chinese fashion e-commerce comparison site, has raised an undisclosed amount of series B funding from DT Capital, a China early stage private equity firm, and existing investors, CDH Investments,  an international alternative asset fund manager focused on partnering with China management teams, and Alibaba. Prior to this round, the 2010 start-up had raised $20m, according to venture technology site, TechInAsia.  Seed investor Alibaba helped the company launch in 2010 with 3 million yuan ($486,000). CDH Investments then invested in 2011 an undisclosed amount of capital into the company thought to be several million US dollars, according to technology news site, Technode. The web site is aesthetically pleasing and in addition to helping its predominately female customer base compare prices of similar products, they can also create a fashion profile of images from their searches.   Other sites in its segment in China include Netease, Oihoo and B5M, the latter of which has raised a reported $7m in venture funding.
