Cyberdyne's CEJ Capital unit chipped into a round for the flu diagnostics device developer that hiked its overall funding to $27.5m.
Japan-based artificial intelligence (AI)-powered medical device developer Aillis received an amount likely to be $16.5m yesterday from investors including CEJ Capital, the corporate venturing arm of robotics technology provider Cyberdyne.
The round was also backed by asset management firm Sparx Group’s Mirai Creation Fund II, a vehicle backed by carmaker Toyota. It brought the company’s overall funding to ¥2.9bn ($27.5m) since it was founded in 2017.
