RefMe, the UK-based developer of a tool that can generate citations, reference lists and bibliographies, raised $5m on Tuesday in a series A round led by educational services company Gems Global, which invested $4m. The cash will be used to increase the size of RefMe’s engineering and data teams as it seeks to expand internationally.
