The cloud security company completed the round with contributions from existing investors, which could include Symantec and Rovi Corporation.

Veracode, the US-based developer of a cloud-based security platform backed by IT security firm Symantec, closed a $40m series F round on Thursday.

Wellington Management Company led the round, which Veracode said also featured existing investors.

The company has now raised more than $110m from investors also including digital entertainment technology company Rovi Corporation, In-Q-Tel, .406 Ventures, Atlas Venture, StarVest Partners, Cross Creek Advisors, Meritech Capital Partners and Polaris Partners, since it spun out of Symantec in 2005.
