She plans to launch an independent startup advisory focused on early-stage AI and cybersecurity companies.

Eunice Wong has left her role as investor at Okta Ventures, the corporate VC arm of identity authentication software producer Okta, to launch an independent startup advisory focused on early-stage AI and cybersecurity companies. The new advisory business will focus on helping startups refine investor narratives, prepare for fundraising processes and sharpen enterprise sales positioning.
A former startup founder and lawyer, Wong spent two years at Okta Ventures where she invested in cybersecurity and identity startups. Prior to this, she spent nearly four years at Monk’s Hill Ventures, a VC firm that invested in early-stage technologies.
In addition to launching the advisory practice, Wong has joined expert network platform Intro, where founders can book consultations on fundraising, go-to-market strategy and product positioning.
Founded in 2009, Okta Ventures invests in startups that touch upon identity, privacy and user-centric security. The unit invests across all stages of the startup lifecycle with a typical cheque size of under $1m for early-stage investments while later-stage investments cheque sizes depend on round structure.
