Every Fortune 1000 company will have to have a cryptocurrency strategy in the next five years as the technology becomes normalised and embedded, says Hoolie Tejwani, global head of Coinbase Ventures, the investment arm of the cryptocurrency exchange.

Speaking at the GCVI Summit in Monterey in March, he advised corporate leaders not to be distracted by the "Bitcoin bro Miami Lambo things" — the overhyped, speculative and performative side of cryptocurrency investing and instead pay attention to how the technology is permeating all financial services.

"I think the narratives and headlines get caught up on the bad actors versus the fundamental kind of progress has been made," he said.
